United Rentals Acquires Industrial Rental Company in Ohio

Sandvik continues gaining ground in China with more semi-mobile crushing stations

An order for a semi-mobile crushing station for processing lignite has been signed by the Chinese company Shenhua Baorixile Energy Industrial Co., which is part of the Shenhua Group. The order was signed on 10 June 2009, with a delivery date set for February 2010 and commencement of operation planned for March 2010. The semi-mobile station will operate in the Baorixile mine, an open-pit mine with a production of 5.8 mtpy, situated in Inner Mongolia.     Read the rest of this entry »

Virginia Paving Co. Resurfaces D.C.’s Dulles Greenway

Crews from Virginia Paving Company, Division of The Lane Construction Corporation, are currently working to resurface a 5-mi. (8 km) stretch of the privately owned Dulles Greenway toll road between Leesburg, Va., and Washington-Dulles International Airport in northern Virginia.

Liebherr delivers the first MTC 78000 heavy lift offshore crane

At the end of June, Liebherr delivered the first heavy lift offshore crane type MTC 78000 straight from its manufacturing plant in Rostock. The MTC 78000 is one of the biggest offshore slewing cranes world-wide. With a maximum dynamic torque of 78,000 mT, the MTC 78000 is the most powerful machine within the extensive range of cranes and material handling machines offered by the Liebherr group of companies. Four units of the new heavy-lift crane have already been ordered to date.

Wirtgen Group – New subsidiary opens in Ankara

True to its pledge „Close to our customers“, the Wirtgen Group has moved a little closer to its customers in Turkey, too. Since early 2008, a team of 28 sales and service specialists has been based in new premises in the country. During the Komatek exhibition in Ankara, the second most important local trade fair after Ankomak in Istanbul, the Wirtgen Group invited its customers to the official inauguration ceremony in Gölbasi on 6 May.
